Berwick Ambulance Staff

Berwick Area Ambulance currently employs over 70 emergency medical staff members, from Emergency Medical Technicians to Paramedics and even a few Prehospital Nurses.  Our staff can be found at multiple stations across the area and on-board multiple units from different organizations in order to provide the most complete and beneficial medical care to our surrounding communities.

We currently have multiple Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support units operating out of our main station (Station 90) in Berwick.  This station provides a home for our business office, non-emergent transport center, and emergent response center.  Our main station can have between two and six units operating out of it at any given time to match the demands of the day.

In addition to our main Berwick station, our organization stages an Advanced Life Support unit out of the Mocanaqua Fire Station in Shickshinny, PA that provides advanced treatments to the surrounding rural communities.  This unit (Medic 95) can be found responding into Conyngham Township, Hunnington Township, Hunlock Creek, Shickshinny, Slocum Township, Union Township, and numerous more communities.

While not a primary 24/7 station, the Mifflinville Fire Station acts as a staging location for a unit from Berwick station to enhance response times to Briar Creek, Bloomsburg, and Mifflinville areas (along with other nearby locations).

Berwick Area Ambulance, in addition to our standard Berwick units, provides a staff member to aid Hunlock Creek EMS with daytime incidents.  This staff members fulfills half of the two crew members needed to complete a Basic Life Support unit and Hunlock Creek EMS provides a volunteer staff member for the second crew member.
